Set 261 years before the events of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, this standalone prequel will delve into the legendary history of the Rohirrim, the proud horse-lords of Rohan. The film promises to deliver a gripping tale of courage, sacrifice, and the enduring legacy of one of Middle-earth's most iconic peoples.
The cast and crew of The War of the Rohirrim includes a stellar lineup of talent. Brian Cox, best known for his roles in Succession and X2: X-Men United, will lend his voice to the formidable King Helm Hammerhand, who leads the Rohirrim against an overwhelming force. Miranda Otto, who portrayed Éowyn in the Lord of the Rings films, returns to Middle-earth as Helm's fierce daughter, Hera.
The film is directed by Kenji Kamiyama, whose previous works include Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Ultraman.
