The Animals Formation
Eric Burdon and the Animals, also known as The Animals, were formed in 1964 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The original band was called the Alan Price Rhythm and Blues Combo.
The Animals were one of the most popular bands of the British Invasion. They had a number of hit songs, including "House of the Rising Sun," "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood."
The band broke up in 1968, but they have reunited several times since then. They are currently touring and recording.
