Rwanda Deploys More Troops to Central African Republic

Strengthening Security and Peacekeeping Efforts

Rwanda Beefs up Presence to Enhance Regional Stability

In keeping with its commitment to regional peace and security, the Government of Rwanda has deployed an additional Infantry Battalion consisting of 750 troops to the Central African Republic (CAR).

This deployment forms part of Rwanda's ongoing support for the CAR, where it has played a significant role in stabilizing the country and combating insurgency. The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) has also recently conducted military operations against insurgents in Mozambique, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining security in the region.

Rwanda's influence in the CAR has grown significantly, reflecting its dedication to fostering peace and stability. The additional deployment of troops will further enhance its peacekeeping efforts and provide vital support to the CAR government in its fight against armed groups.

The United Nations Secretary-General has welcomed Rwanda's contribution to regional security and has called for continued efforts to ensure accountability for heinous attacks in the CAR.
